RECANATI, Italy.— With the aim to offer the highest technology and quality, FBT is proud to introduce the new MITUS series at the 2009 Frankfurt Prolight & Sound. MITUS is a new comprehensive range of sound reinforcement systems Made in Italy by FBT’s renown experience and passion for excellence. The MITUS 206 LA compact line array system boasts an extended performance in the mid and high frequencies thanks to the original technology applied, matched with the latest Class D built-in amp design with DSP. Ideal for small to medium sized applications, from multiple cabinet line arrays through to single stand alone loudspeakers the MITUS 206 LA is perfectly configured with the new flyable MITUS 212 FSA (2 x 12”) active subwoofer, or ground stacked on the MITUS 121 SA (1 x 21”) or on the MITUS 118 SA (1 x 18”) active subwoofers, to deliver the finest low frequencies in all situations.







Being FBT’s smallest line array, MITUS has been engineered to provide the widest applications, from pole-mount setup to full scale line array solutions for the most various applications.







The MITUS 206 LA enclosure is made of gas-injected polypropylene, configured in 2-way design that houses 2 x 6.5" woofers with neodymium magnets, a 1.4" exit HF compression driver fitted to a unique waveguide and horn producing a vertical line source directivity with 100° horizontal pattern. The max vertical dispersion of each module is 10°, dependent upon number of elements. The built-in bi-amp system is engineered in Class D with DSP and delivers 600 Wrms to the LF and 300 Wrms to the HF. An extra-strong and lightweight switch mode power supply guarantees the maximum energy and current flow. The system is equipped with built-in digital signal processor and factory presets to enhance the equalization according to the venue and application required.







The MITUS 212 FSA active subwoofer shares the same width and suspension hardware as the MITUS 206 LA for flown configurations at the top of a MITUS 206 LA, in a separate column or ground stacked. It increases the low frequency headroom and extend the bandwidth of an array of MITUS 206 LA down to 45 Hz. The bass-reflex design utilizes a dual set, high excursion, of 12" woofers with neodymium magnet assembly and is equipped with a Class D built-in amplifier with switch mode power supply, delivering 1200 Wrms.



















The MITUS 121 SA is an active subwoofer with a 21” woofer, enabling an extremely low response, down to 29 Hz. The birch plywood enclosure is designed in bass-reflex and has the same width of the MITUS 206 LA: it is the ideal active sub for ground stack applications. The Class D with DSP built-in amp delivers 1200 Wrms of continuous power. A switch mode power supply guarantees the maximum energy and current flow. The 21” sub design gives the best response when used in full active systems with the flown line array, or with the active MITUS 112A and 115A active FOH speakers







The MITUS 118 SA is single 18” active sub to the same width size of the line array and 21” sub. This model has a band-pass design to provide more “kick” to the low frequencies, extended down to 36 Hz. The built-in amp is engineered in Class D with DSP and supplies 1200 Wrms of continuous power. A switch mode power supply guarantees the maximum energy and current flow.







The new MITUS range includes 2 FOH active and passive speakers: the MITUS 112 A and the MITUS 115 A. Both are built in high grade birch plywood, with tour-tough grille with dust protection foam. The MITUS 112 A is a 2-way design active speaker, with a 12” neodymium magnet woofer and a 1.7” VC HF compression driver, mounted on a 80°H x 50°H rotatable CD horn. The Class D built-in bi-amp system with switch mode power supply guarantees 600 Wrms to the LF frequencies and 300 Wrms to the HF frequencies. The system is equipped with a DSP and factory presets to allow the best performance under any situation.







The MITUS 115 A is also a 2-way active speaker with a 15” neodymium magnet woofer and a 1.7 VC HF compression driver mounted on a 80°V x 50°H rotatable CD horn. The Class D built-in bi-amp system with switch mode power supply guarantees 600 Wrms to the LF frequencies and 300 Wrms to the HF frequencies. The system is equipped with a DSP and factory presets to allow the best performance under any situation.







The MITUS 210 MA is a 2 x 10” neodymium magnet woofers, 2-way active stage monitor with a low profile design to enable the best placement on stage during live or TV shows. The high frequencies are guaranteed by a 1.7” VC HF compression driver co-axially mounted on one of the two 10” woofers. The built-in bi-amped system, with switch mode power supply, is designed in Class D and offers 600 Wrms to the LF and 300 Wrms to the HF.
