Totodata ii poti adauga tatuaje si chiar bijuterii .Dezvolta-ti abilitatile de lupta, alatura-te unei echipe si lupta pentru controlul lumii din spatele ecranului.90 de lupte si peste 20 de locatii urbane te asteapta pentru a prelua controlul strazilor.In luptele de strada poti utiliza diferite elemente ale mediului, cum ar fi o usa sau un zid.Multimea te va impinge inapoi in lupta , daca esti aruncat de adversar in multime iar unii spectatori iti pot da chiar armele lor.In joc apar nume mari din hip-hop precum: Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Fat Joe, Flava Flav, Freeway, Ghostface, Ice T, Joe Budden, Kimora Lee Simmons, Lil\' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, Sean Paul, Slick Rick Snoop Dogg sau Xzibit.Def Jam Fight for NY a fost dezvoltat de Aki Corporation si distribuit de Electronic Arts pe PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Xbox.
