Clams are safety products and appropiate instruction before using them is necessary. Remember that climbing, mountaineering and resque activities are dangerous and an injury can come suddenly. USE

Cams are to be used together with other special climbing products. Before use it's necessary to study carefully its use. Important:

*angle of the cams have to be between 1/4 and 3/4 of its open position

*loading ropes have to be parallel to expected loading

The Cam has to be connected by the sling with the ropewith an appropiate fixing. The user must know how to achive the best placing of the cam in a crack or in a hole. It's also necessary to estimate the quality of the rock and the direction of expected load in a fall.

CONTROL=SECURITY

Before and after each use it is necessary to check very carefully cams and its operation. In the event of any dammage is necessary to replace cam.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND MAINTENANCE

*Placing the cam

Become familiar with the way of use. This instructionsl cannot replace the practical experience and training. Place the cam only on solid rock. By pulling the wire in the expected direction of load make sure the cam is placed correctly. Connect the wire of the stopper only by carabiner, never by webbing. When placing the cam make sure that the wire is not bent over a sharpe edge. In case the rock is wet or frozen be careful when placing the cam - the danger of the cam slipping off is substantially higher that when the rock is dry. These products can only be esed together with CE certified products.

Lifetime

It is difficult to estimate the lifetime of mechanical cams. When used and maintained properly, the metallic parts can be used for minimum 10 years. The factors affecting the lifetime: falls, wear and tear, craks, deformation, fryed or crooked wire, high temperature, sun light, corrodent, salt water.

Meintenance and wear

Dry wet cams as quickly as possibile. Do not expose cams to moisture. When transporting, protect the cams from heat, chemicals as acid from bateries or solvents, and from sharp edges.

Hints for storing

Store the cams in dry place. Do not expose them to direct sun light. Keep them clean. Do not store them near heat source. Do not store them near aggressive chemicals.

The guarantee is not valid for:

*current cams already in use

*un-appropiate use and storrage

*any cams altered by user

*accidents and damages due to incompetent use
