FOREX MARKET
Yesterday has been the first of the last nine business day of significant price action in Euro�s favor. The market has
opened at 3.3670, and despite the fact that the pair was sold in the opening to 3.3620, determined buyers took the
pair at noon to 3.3760, where the Euro found support and closed the day.
Finding even more interest from players today, the Euro has opened directly at RON 3.38, advanced to a high of
3.3840, and is now stable at 3.3810.
Although the Euro had failed yesterday morning to hold above 1.30 and fell to a low of 1.2973, comments from
ECB officials boosted the pair in US trade. Investors have priced in an ECB rate hike in March and bought the
Euro to 1.3045. In the last three hours the move has been retraced to 1.3000, with bids currently standing at
1.3006.
MONEY MARKET
Bids on the Romanian monetary market have climbed slightly today. After having average quotations yesterday of
5.5/6.5%, the market has moved to 6/7% today.
