FOREX MARKET
The euro seems to have found some support on yesterdays late trade, as the exchange rate climbed until
1.1800. This move might have been determined by the too steep euro sell-off lately. The consolidation could
extend a bit to the 1.1830 zone during todays session, however in the coming days we expect that the
EUR/USD would be traded around the 1.1700 level.
On Tuesday, the local forex market was rather calm, however the trading volumes were considerable. The
domestic currency firmed against the euro, as in early trading the quotes for the euro reached 3.6900, but due
to substantial selling orders the exchange rate dropped until 3.6710, the lowest. On November 9th, the forex
trading began around 3.6760-3.6800 levels, and the exchange rate moved upwards to 3.6850. By noon
however, the RON enforced vs. the euro, as the pair is traded at 3.6700-3.6730.
MONEY MARKET
The National Bank did not organize any sterilization operation this week, however it seems that the situation
on the inter-bank money market has improved slightly, as the ON interest rates moved towards the 1-2% area.
