M44A is a high-performance self-powered, biamplified stage monitor designed for those requiring higher sound pressure level and greater definition, together with the typical punch of 15\\" loudspeakers, in this case a neodymium coaxial custom unit with built-in 1,5\\" HF driver. Not only does the coaxial design allow for a greater sonic accuracy, but it also makes possible significant space savings on the size of the baffle, for an easier handling also on smaller stages.

Coaxial loudspeaker, custom made to Montarbo specifications:

- 15? high efficiency neodymium magnet woofer with a 3? voice coil

- 1,5? neodymium compression driver with titanium diaphragm

Biamped. M44A incorporates:

2, class AB, Mosfet amplifiers, each one fitted with our exclusive loudspeaker protection circuitry.

Output power:

350 W continuous, 450 W peak for the bass frequencies

150 W continuous, 220 W peak for the high frequencies

- 2 dedicated active processors, featuring independent time constants and operating thresholds that are sensitive to line voltage, limiting any excessive voice coil movement while also drastically diminishing the effects of ?power compression? under the most demanding operating conditions. Unimpeded operation is guaranteed even when the system is subjected to extreme line voltage excursions.

- active cross-over filter (24dB/oct. Linkwitz-Riley, 1000 Hz) guaranteeing phase coherency and perfect addition of acoustic emissions in the crossover region.

- a ?soft-start? circuit to reduce the peak current drain at switch-on.

The control and connection panel, conveniently placed on one side of the cabinet for increased ease of use, is equipped with:

- balanced input (using a Neutrik Combo? combined jack-XLR connector);

- balanced XLR output (link) allows parallel connection of other active systems;

- master volume control;

- volume control for the high frequencies;

The dual angle cabinet?s profile allows for maximum setup flexibility and helps in optimizing listening, from short or long distances.

The multiply birch bass reflex enclosure is conform to the highest professional standards for maximum reliability. The strong and sturdy cabinet, with highly resistant polyurethane paint finish, is equipped with 1,5 mm thick steel protection grid and ergonomically designed handle, balanced to the box?s center of gravity.
