Fellowship of the Ring creat de Vivendi Universal detine licenta cartilor originale Lord of the Rings; datorita minunatei magii de care dispun avocatii, Electronic Arts va realiza jocuri bazate pe filmele Lord of the Rings. Pentru a mai adauga un strop de siguranta într-un ocean de confuzie, deoarece filmul a facut o treaba atât de buna dând viata cartii, toate jocurile au o imagine finala foarte asemanatoare. TotuSi, în final, acest lucru înseamna ca fanii Tolkien vor avea de Craciun doua jocuri mult-aSteptate.
DeSi pot parea similare, The Fellowship of the Ring este un joc cu un stil mai puternic role-playing decât rivalul sau. Controlându-I pe Frodo, pe Gandalf the Grey sau pe Aragorn vei putea urmari un orc cu cel mai bun dintre aceStia, dar, deasemenea, vei intra Si mai adânc în detaliile cartii, îmbarcându-te în mini-calatorii Si întâlnindu-te cu personaje pe care filmul nu a avut timp sa le prezinte, cum ar fi Tom Bombadil Si Glorfindel.
