AUTOMATIC BALING PRESSES
Sierra Europe designs and develops a new range of fully automatic baling presses with continuous feeding, which strongly reduces the risk of accident at work.
The Sierra automatic baling presses are the best solution to process manufacturing waste and ferrous/non ferrous scrap from municipal solid waste.
The new range of automatic baling presses includes the following types:
1. 50-1C, one compression ram
2. 50-2C, two compression rams
3. 80-2C, two compression rams
4. 30-3C, three compression rams
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The Baling Presses are equipped with a pre-load pool mounted on the top of the charging box.
Photoelectric cells mounted on the pre-load pool control the feeding and the baling cycle.
The horizontal cutting cover plate, equipped with replaceble blades, closes the charging box, cuts the surplus material and makes the first compression. This axial compression is operated by a double-action cylinder equipped with trasducers for infinitely variable positioning.
The axial cylinder operates also an adjustable number of precompressions before the side and/or vertical compression (in case of 2- or 3-rams balers), or before tha last axial compression (in case of a 1-ram baler).
The hydraulic and power unit attached to the machine make it very compact.
WORKING CYCLE
1. Material falls from the top from a conveyor or is put into the charging box by the grapple through the pre-load pool, equipped with photoelectric cells which control the feeding process.
2. As soon as the charged material reaches the optimal quantity, the baling cycle starts.
3. Axial precompression: the axial cylinder presses the contain and thanks to the attached cutting cover plate cuts the surplus material
4. The axial cylinder draws back and opens the charging box again. The material, in the meantime collected into the pre-load pool, falls down into the charging box.
5. The axial cylinder operates a new precompression as per points 3. and 4.
6. There will be as many precompressions as set up by the operator, according to the kind of material has to be processed
From this point the working cycle depends on the machine type:
50 1C
7. The axial cylinder operates the last compression and produces a high density bale
8. The bale gets ejected by the axial cylinder through an hydraulic guillotine gate
9. Automatic setting back of the machine for a new cycle as per point 2.
50 2C - 80 2C
7. The side cylinder operates the last compression and produces a high density bale
8. The bale gets ejected by the side cylinder through an hydraulic guillotine gate
9. Automatic setting back of the machine for a new cycle as per point 2.
30 3C
7. The vertical cylinder presses the material from the top
8. The side cylinder operates the last compression and produces a high density bale
9. The bale gets ejected by the side cylinder through an hydraulic guillotine gate
10. Automatic setting back of the machine for a new cycle as per point 2.
